SUMMARY:BRMC Active Citizen Workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Victorian Electoral Commission is delivering a workshop at the BRMC Welcome Centre for our multicultural communities on the 8th June 12pm-3pm. \nThis workshop is for Ballarat and Grampians multicultural community members to better understand the Australian electoral system\, and so they can be more involved and engaged in change. \nBy the end of the workshop\, you will: \n\n\n\nUnderstand more about our Australian government and their responsibilities\,\nLearn how you can influence and make positive change in your community\,\nLearn more about democracy and how to vote correctly\,\n\n\n\nThe workshop will be face to face\, hands on and interactive (and potentially fun). \nThere’s also an opportunity to apply for a paid position with the Victorian Electoral Commission as an Ambassador. \nIf you are interested\, or know someone in your community who might be interested in attending\, we encourage you to come along. \nThe workshop is free\, and lunch and child-minding is available. \n
