DESCRIPTION:INTERKULTURA TOURNAMENT\nSaturday 9th February 2019 at Ballarat Regional Soccer Facility \nWe welcome everyone to come along and be a part of this fantastic event! \nBallarat Regional Multicultural Council (BRMC) and Ballarat City Football Club (BCFC) are partnering to support pathways to participation and engagement for emerging migrant and refugee communities from: Ballarat\, Bendigo\, Nhill\, Horsham\, Shepparton\, Melton\, Geelong & Dandenong through an inaugural\, friendly football tournament\, INTERKULTURA. \nWe’ve had excellent feedback and expect participants from: Karen\, Rohingya\, Hazara and various African ethnic communities; our intention is to grow the tournament each year and we trust the competition will become an annual regional fixture. \nIn conjunction with Matt Norman\, Producer\, Wingman Pictures International\, we’ll also be presenting the regional launch of the short film “I’ll Stand With You”. \n \nBallarat City FC supports the participation of around 12 talented\, local players of refugee background\, largely of African heritage; some of these players feature in the film that aims to foster multicultural inclusion and challenge racism. \nEvent program to come soon – watch this space. \nFor more information please contact Elisabeth on 03 5383 0613 or interkultura@brmc.org.au \n
