After all that 2020 has brought to the world, we are sure there are many amazing stories out there that people are willing to share with our community. With this knowledge, Ballarat Regional Multicultural Council (BRMC) would like to introduce a Podcast to the Ballarat community and the world, called ‘Community Matters’.
With the BRMC Podcast, we are aiming to capture different stories from different timelines and different generations in this mini-series. We believe sharing personal stories that outline an individual’s journey and challenges can teach the rest of the world. It is important that we listen to people from different generations to discover and understand the future of the world we live in.
Stories are built on the choices and events that have taken place in our past. However, they only become a story when they are shared with other people. A story outlines the importance of the life we have lived by overcoming the difficulties we face and celebrate the important moments of our life.
We are inviting the community of Ballarat to take part in this project and help share stories from around the world. We are looking for all ages, from the youth of our community to the seniors in our community, because your story matters and we want to hear it and share it.
